Join Legal Voices for the Future on 3rd March 2026 at The Poetry Society for our inaugural eco-poetry night celebrating our third birthday, including readings from featured poets J Spooner (spooner.earth) and Jess Grynfeld (Wild Thing Poetry) + more to be announced, plus open mic slots for you to either share your own poems, or poems that you love.

No prior experience required, we welcome anyone who wants to contribute some nature-adjacent words to a supportive crowd. You can sign up for an open mic slot in advance by filling in this form, or on the night.

Eco-poetry can mean many things. It can be a way of articulating the wonders of all living beings. A space in which we can collectively grieve about our changing climate and resist narratives of ruin and dominance. Or simply, a way of connecting with each over the very thing that sustains us all. Lawyers love words, and we want to create a space where our words can be shared, enjoyed, and flourish.

We’re hosting this community event to mark LVF’s third birthday – and we’d love for you to join us, either as a listener or a contributor. Drinks can be purchased from the Poetry Society’s upstairs cafe.

LVF Knowledge Session Format

Each of our knowledge sessions includes:

  1. A substantive presentation led by an LVF Member, exploring a particular topic relevant to the climate and ecological crises.
  2. An interview or panel discussion with an expert guest or guests, who will bring the topic of the presentation ‘to life’.
  3. A small group discussion of ‘creative content’ relevant to the topic. This might be a podcast, a piece of music or a film.

To be as inclusive as possible, we run our knowledge sessions in a hybrid format.

We’re looking for session leaders!

Interested in hosting your own Knowledge Session? We’d love to hear from you!
